How to wire a pole barn. Which method is best for you? This video discusses the pros and cons of nonmetallic sheathed cable commonly referred to a Romex, AC cable (armoured cable) and thin wall conduit. The National Electric Code (NEC) and local building codes exist for a reason so check with your local inspector to insure the method you chose meets local building codes. I have prepared this video with the help of several other people in the electric industry to provide accurate information. No one is a total expert and if you have additional information please leave it in the comments below. Check with your governing body. It has final say on all wiring methods and you should get approval from them prior to installation.
