My goal in this video is that by the end you’ll not only know how to set up slack (if you haven’t already) but you will be an absolute Slack Master and be able to run your entire company from this little application just like I do.

Slack is a is a channelbased messaging platform that allows team members to work together more effectively, connect all their software tools and services, and find the information they need to do their best work.

What that means is Slack is your onestop shop to get rid of email, communicate with your team, manage your clients, and run your company.

What’s going on everyone I’m Ravi Abuvala and I use Slack inside my companies to help manage over 35 employees as well as keep updated on customer payments, booked appointments, new leads client onboarding, and so much more. Not only that but I’ve taught over 800 entrepreneurs how to leverage the platform to run their entire business from it.

During the set up phase of this training I will be creating an account from scratch using a new email, however when we come to the more advanced optimization phase I will be using my account (for the first time live) with dozens of team members.

Whether you’re currently communicating internally through outdated methods like emails or you’re already running slack and think you’re a pro I guarantee there is something for everyone in this video.

With all that being said let’s dive right in to your most comprehensive guide to using Slack!

I’m going to assume this is your first time setting up Slack so we’re going to go to the slack home page, however if you already have Slack and you’re looking to optimize the software I would recommend you look at the description below and the graphic on the screen here and skip past the setup phase.

You can set up and use slack on your iPhone, iPad, Android phone, desktop app, or web based application.

For this video here we will use the web based application so I can be sure everyone can follow along.

First thing you do when you get to www.slack.com is click “Get Started/Sign Up” or whatever else it says when you’re watching this video.

If your company already has an existing workplace you can just sign in to the workspace here or you can ask them to send you an invite link which I will show you later on in the video.

Once you set up your workspace I’ll also walk you through how to use all the Slack features.

Then I will open up my own slack account and show you some cool channels we’re using that have allowed me to run my entire business from this little app on my phone!

Be warned, this is not for the faint of heart and if you just set up slack you may be overwhelmed with our level of mastery of the application, please make sure you are seated and have a cool glass of cold milk nearby for nourishment.

Before I dive in here many of these integration have to do with using the software called “Zapier” an “if this than that” software, I will link that in this video here, open it up but don’t leave this video.
