Artificial intelligence is all the buzz in 2019, and conjures all kinds of intellectualproperty related questions, such as:

1. How can Artificial Intelligence (AI) help you search for existing patents (and patentrelated publications), trademarks, and copyrights?

This is a summary of a presentation I put together in conjunction with a panel I joined at the US Patent Office on September 14, 2019.

Skynet is not on the horizon
Much of the fear is based in "marketing hype"
Artificial intelligence, by detecting defined inputs and observing defined outputs, is able to, after sufficient inputs and outputs:
characterize detected inputs
recognize probable patterns
