In this video, "How to Use a Soaker Hose", home renovation brothers Dave and Rich and Dave's son, Caleb, show you 2 great tips to effectively use soaker hose irrigation.

The first tip is to use a closed system. This means you will connect a 50 foot garden hose to both ends of a 50 foot soaker hose.
To connect them we use 2 Way Brass Shut off Valves from YardWorks.

The second tip is to use LOW pressure! Yes, this seems counterintuitive, but it works great! To get low water pressure, all you have to do is turn your water on one quarter turn. That's all there is to it!
