In this video, I use a pet corrector that can be found on amazon or in pet stores as the correction. Owners learn how to apply corrections appropriately throughout the training program because it's an essential element of the learning process. I also use a slip lead, also found on amazon, to remove the dog from the couch and prevent them from running away. This is very important! Don't let the dog run away and hide! Wait for them to settle and reward as necessary.

Dogs usually learn this very quickly and it only takes a few repetitions per day for about 35 days for a dog to 100% respect the boundary. After several months and training in other areas, owners may allow their dog to join them on the couch by invitation only.
