This week we are teaching you how to get your dog to jump on your back.
This is one of my favourite tricks because it involves building a lot of trust between you and your dog so the result is super rewarding!

Step by Step guide below to follow along with the video:
Step 1: Lure front paws over your back (00:40:44)
Step 2: Move the lure further away (01:23:44)
Step 3: Reward when all four paws are on your back (02:13:13)
Step 4: Repeat verbal cue 'up' (03:02:45)
Step 5: Encourage them to jump onto your back (04:30:30)
Step 6: Repeat to build confidence (05:20:01)
Step 7: Raise your back to maximum height on your knees (05:48:45)
Step 8: Crouch down as low as possible in the stand position (06:59:24)
Step 9: Continue raising the height of your back (07:31:19)

Disclaimer: Please do not try this trick with dogs under 18 months old as their growth plates aren't fully closed.

As always only use positive reinforcement with your dogs and keep training sessions short and rewarding for your dog!
