Sprained ankles are among the most common injuries on the trail, and if it happens to you or someone you’re with, you can tape the ankle to add support until you get back to civilization. All you need is a roll of athletic tape and the right knowhow. We partnered with NOLS Wilderness Medicine to teach you how to tape an ankle by placing a landmark strip of tape above the injury, then adding stirrups, teardrops and figure 8s.
