HOW TO SUE THE STATE?
CLAIMS AGAINST STATE GOVERNMENT AGENCIES
In order to pursue a cause of action against a California State Government Agency, a claim must first be filed with the particular agency within six (6) months of the incident. The administrative remedy must first be exhausted before filing a lawsuit. If the claim is denied, a lawsuit can then be filed with the Court.
