There are many material choices that are available when creating a product and often at the start of the design process this can be a bit overwhelming. In this video, we discuss how we can use Ashby plots and performance indexes to help us with the design process, towards the selection of an optimal material. We do this through the example of selecting a material for an affordable high performance bike.
