In this video we teach you how to factory reset your Ring Doorbell. These instructions will work to reset all Ring Doorbells. The only difference is that the ring reset button may be located in different spots on the Ring Doorbell.

You may need to reset your Ring Doorbell if you moved into a new home, moved out or have been gifted a Ring Doorbell or purchased a used Ring Doorbell. You may also need to reset your Ring Doorbell to factory default settings if you are having issues getting your Ring Doorbell set up.

How To Factory Reset Ring Doorbell:
1. In order to reset the Ring Doorbell it must be powered up.
2. Remove the screw that holds the Ring cover plate onto the Ring Doorbell. To do this use a T15 Torx bit to remove the Ring cover plate screw located at the bottom of the Ring Doorbell.
3. Remove the Ring Doorbell cover plate.
4. Hold the button down on the side of the Ring for 15 seconds and then release.
5. The Ring will flash and then speak to you that it is "In set up mode" once it speaks to you and the light go's from a flashing light to a swirling blue light it means that the device has been reset to factory default settings and is ready to be set back up on the Ring App.
