How to Repair a Broken or Leaky Melnor Hose Nozzle

Bruce Alan Reviews + Repairs (BalanR)

I really like my Melnor RearTrigger 7Pattern Hose Nozzle, so in this video I show you how I fix it when the trigger fails (handle doesn't work) or the nozzle leaks. If you have your receipt, most Melnor products come with a 37 year warranty and they'll ship you a new one; however, if you've lost the receipt or have already received a replacement (mine lasted one season), try this repair. While a new hose nozzle is $510 and the replacement parts for multiple repairs cost ~$5, your repaired nozzle will likely outlast a new one if you use stainless steel springs (available at your local hardware store).

In this video I repair a Melnor model # 471173, but the setup is similar for most multipattern nozzles ie, Melnor models 15110, 301416, T13110, XT201, T201 and similar models by Viking, Gardenite, Gilmour, Prudance, and AcquaGun.
