Here is a video showing a couple of ways to remove the popcorn ceiling.
* After removing the popcorn make sure the ceiling is clean before applying a new texture. Vacuuming or wiping it with a damp sponge may be required.
** If your home was built pre 1970 then you might want to have the ceilings tested for asbestos first.
