This will show you what you need to do in order to remove the sliding rear cargo deck in a 5th Generation 4Runner. This is needed to make room for a rear platform but could be done for other upgrades you plan to do. If you want to revert to the factory nonsliding rear cargo deck, you will need to replace the carpeting as well as the rear brackets that are removed.
