In this video we would like to provide the main information about how to read a Piping & Instruments Diagrams (P&ID).
We try to provide a general descriprion of what a P&ID is. (Schematic Drawing)
The idea is;
to identify the most important standards used for drawing the P&ID,
to describe the means of the type of line used in the P&ID (the 4 important types),
to highlight the 4 most used symbols for the instruments,
to explain the "code" format of the instrument indentification (TT temperature trasmitter, FSL flow switch low...).

At the end we will watch together an example of P&ID.

What information does P&ID provide?
All the equipment and associated piping including drain and vent line.
Instrumentation and valves

Information about utilities
Piping components including their size, piping class and tag Number.
