One of the best ways to protect your Instagram account from getting hacked is by turning on twofactor authentication.

Before you turn this on, you can check login security inside the Instagram settings to make sure you recognize all the recent logins.

If you don’t, make sure to log out and reset your password.

You can also check if you receive an email from Instagram. A lot of hacking attempts are via email and it’s not actually from Instagram.

Then, turn on twofactor authentication.
