Pricing your photography is so much more than a random number. How you price your photography is based on your costs and the profit margin you need to make.

If you don't know your costs, now is the time to do some digging and take inventory of your monthly costs.

Then your costs influence how much you should charge each job and NOT break even, so you can turn a profit.

The goal isn't to just do photography. The goal is to make a profit doing photography so you can keep on doing photography for a living.

Should your photography price be under $50/hour? I don't think so. No matter where you are, you should start charge $50/hour at a very minimum and grow from there.

There is no cap on how much you can price. For some people they are making $200400 per hour. For others they are making $100150 per hour.

Be constantly reevaluating your pricing. Always check your costs and see if they have gone up (they probably have since we're in an inflated market).
