The electrical meter box on the exterior of your house is made of steel, and sooner or later it will rust. Unfortunately, it isn't a simple task just to replace that box with a new one because the electric company, an electrician and even your municipal building department all have a hand in that process. So it makes sense to try and maintain your existing meter box for as along as you can. In this video I'll demonstrate how I strip the old paint, fix the rust, and repaint an existing meter box safely and effectively. This is something a homeowner can do themselves to save money and keep their home beautiful.
