How To MASTER A SONG in STUDIO ONE 5 - How to Make Your Song Louder Using STOCK PLUGINS!

Follow
Progressive Sound Audio

In this weeks video I delve into the newly released Studio One 5 as we take a look at the Project Page for Mastering using the updated Stock Plugins!

I've been a big fan of Studio One for some time now and Presonus have not disappointed with some of the Stock Plugin enhancements.

In this video I cover a simple way to get your song sounding louder with a simple and efficient Limiter, whilst also taking a look at the Stock EQ, Multiband Dynamics plugin, TriComp and the Fat Channel XT.

I also cover some of the principles of using a Loudness Meter and how I approach loudness for Streaming Platforms.

For anyone who is not sure about Loudness in Mastering then check out my Mastering Loudness Simplified playlist:

And the song I used to Master was:

This song is available to download to practice your skills via the Cambridge Music Technology website run by Mike Senior:

This is a great resource that I can't recommend highly enough.

Other music featured in this video is:

Sahara Cowboy by Arc De Soleil via Epidemic Sound

This video is an unscripted look at how I use Studio One and I hope you find this useful.
