In this video, I show you how to make your Max AC colder by installing a heater core bypass valve.

Under normal conditions without the valve, hot coolant is continually circulated through the heater core. This occurs regardless of the AC being on and the heater core is contain in the same unit as the AC. As a result, the heater core warms the AC a little which makes the AC less effective. The heater core bypass valve prevents the hot coolant from flowing to the heater core while the Max AC is engaged. The bypass valve is vacuum actuated and draws vacuum from the same line that comes under vacuum during Max AC usage.
