#Biochar is a great #soil amendment to build stable carbon in your soils. Here Dr. Catie Brewer demonstrates how to make biochar with tree trimmings and a “ring of fire” kiln. You can apply biochar with a compost spreader and till it into your soil, or mix it in with compost before application. Since biochar is such a stable form of #carbon, with only one application you will see the benefits over many years. Benefits include better water retention and increased microbial activity.
