Building a battery charger for your car or motorcycle today is very easy and cheap.

A battery charger must have certain specific characteristics to charge your car battery. In the case of a battery charger for your car, I advise you to do it with a 12V 10A Power Source, the kind used for LED lighting.

These sources are VERY CHEAP, for example a 12V 5A Power Source (Switching power Supply 12V 5A) costs $5.00 (Five dollars).

For a motorcycle you can make a 12V 5A battery charger.

For a car with a 12V battery between 30Ah and 60 Ah, you can use a 12V 10A source (15A can also be used at a cost of $12.00 Twelve Dollars).

You must connect the alternating current power cable to the input marked AC (LN) if your home electrical system has an electrical ground, connect it, otherwise two terminals LN (LineNeutral) are enough.

For the charging terminals, use clamps (Red and Black) for the terminals or terminals of the battery and some cables of about 60cm.

The battery power cables should be connected as follows:

Black clamp on COM or V or V terminal
Red Clamp on Terminal +V or V+

Set the source at 12.7V for optimal charging.
