How to make a MONTH of BREAD items in ONE Day! | Homemaking on the Homestead

Follow
Seed and Sparrow Homestead

Hey Friends! Because I'm participating in the #threeriverschallenge there is no bread buying of any sort! Let's make it all together. Here is a video to help and encourage you on your bread making journey. We are making all of our bread item needs for the ENTIRE MONTH in ONE DAY. It actually only took me half the day to complete everything! Learning a new skill or finding the time to bake from scratch can seem intimidating and overwhelming; I want to show you just how easy it is and its many rewards. We are making Sandwich Loafs, Tortillas, Dinner Rolls, Bagels, Pizza Dough, English Muffins and Hamburger/Hotdog Buns!

Place dough into greased bowl for one hour.
Divide dough in half, shape into 2 loaves and place in greased pans. Let rise one more hour until it has reached the top of the pan or just above.( it will rise more in the oven)

Mix and knead for 58 minutes, cover and let rest for 15 minutes. Divide into 12 parts and roll into smooth balls, cover and let rest for another 15 minutes.
Flatten into disks and use either a press or roll by hand very thin. Place in a preheated skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds per side. Flip as soon as you see bubbles. Keep finished tortillas covered with damp towel.
