In this video we will show how to upholster a cushion that is stapled to a backerboard with a foam ridge along the lip of the seat cushion. This foam ridge helps to support the individual, cupping them snugly into the seat by lifting their legs slightly, thus reducing lumbar strain. A fabric pull must be sewn to the inside of the cushion cover between the two foams to pull the fabric cover down between the two sections of foam. This fabric pull is then stapled to the backerboard. Watch this video to see how this is accomplished. We will also show you how to pattern for a contoured cushion from newly cut foam.
