In this stepbystep tutorial, learn how to add 3D objects to your PowerPoint slides and make them look amazing. 3D objects can add depth, realism and interactivity to your presentations and make them stand out from the crowd. You can use 3D objects to illustrate concepts, create diagrams, or just add some fun and creativity to your slides.

We cover three ways you can add 3D objects to your PowerPoint presentations. The first way is to use the stock 3D models that are available in PowerPoint. These are 3D models that are already builtin and ready to use. You can find them by going to the Insert tab and clicking on 3D Models. You will see a window with different categories of 3D models that you can choose from. You can also search for a specific model by typing in the search box. Once you find the model you want, just click on it and insert it into your slide.

The second way is to find 3D objects on external websites that offer free or paid 3D models. There are many websites that have thousands of 3D models that you can download and use in your presentations. Some of the popular ones are Sketchfab, TurboSquid, CGTrader, and Remix 3D. You can browse these websites and look for the 3D model that suits your topic or theme. You can also filter by format, license, category, and other criteria. Once you download the 3D model, make sure it is in a format that PowerPoint supports, such as .obj or .fbx. Then you can go to the Insert tab and click on 3D Models and choose This Device. You can then browse your computer and select the 3D model file that you downloaded. You can also drag and drop the file into PowerPoint.

The third way is to use AI tools like OpenAI's Shape to generate 3D objects from text. Shape is a new AI tool that lets you type in any word or phrase and then creates a 3D model based on it. For example, if you type in "cookie", it will generate a 3D model of a cookie. Shape uses natural language processing and machine learning to understand your text and create realistic 3D models. You can then download the 3D model as an .obj or .ply file and insert it into your PowerPoint presentation.

By using these three methods, you can add any 3D object you want to your PowerPoint presentation and make it more engaging and interactive. You can also animate your 3D objects using the Animations tab and apply different effects like turntable, swing, jump and turn, etc. You can also customize your 3D objects using the 3D Model tab and change their views, colors, lighting, etc.
