The seven statements of Jesus on the Cross teach us how to live through dark days. One, light up your world with forgiveness. Two, help others who are in the same struggle with darkness. Three, take care of those closest to you. Four, when you can’t see a thing you can still cry out to God, who always hears and answers prayers in His timing. Five, acknowledge your need before God. Six, know that Jesus accomplished your redemption, and dark days have an expiry date. Seven, surrender your dark days and entire life to God and declare, “Into Your hands I commit my spirit,” for in the light of His resurrection Jesus has made a way through and into the glorious new days ahead.
