When you are debt free, you can live off of $12,000 per year. If I can do it, anyone can do it! Please remember that if your house is paid off, home insurance is not a requirement. The car gas bill includes maintenance since I only spend about $18 a month for gas and the rest is for maintenance. Vet bills are not a monthly bill, so I did not include them.
