How to INSTANTLY stop the pain when you burn your hands | Chef secret first aid for hot oil burns.

This is how you stop the pain from a bad burn until you can get medical help or first aid.

I learned this when I was a cook more than 20 years ago. I had burned my hand badly by accidentally dipping the back of my fingers in hot oil from a deep fryer at a restaurant. The pain was intense! But luckily when I got to the hospital, a nurse put my hand in a bowl filled with saline solution and the pain went away instantly! I was amazed at how such intense pain could just vanish like that.

So, ever since then, whenever I've burnt my hands or fingers, I've used this trick. It really works! Makes the pain go from 10 to 0 instantly.

To make saline solution I dissolved a little bit of salt into a small bowl of water and put some ice cubes in it. You want to make sure the salt is dissolved, and the water is room temp or cold.

The proper way to make saline solution if you have time to measure things quickly is to pour 1000 mL (4 cups) of room temp water and add 2 teaspoons of table salt into your container. Mix the salt and water well to dissolve the salt.

I hope this helps someone out there. Stay safe!
