SUBFLOOR AND CEILING | How to Vanlife floor and ceiling Safari Adventure Van Build Series EP. 7

In this episode we install a plywood subfloor and a cedar tongue and groove ceiling to our camper adventure van build.
We went with a 1/2 inch piece of plywood for the subfloor. It is a simple yet effective method that will supply us with mounting locations for furniture. We did not bother insulating the floor because after a plethora of research most folks from experience claimed that their floor was cold no matter what. I think its easier to put down some rugs/carpet in the event of cold weather rather then taking away valuable living space with insulation. This is a safari van and it lacks space so anywhere that we can save space is important.
The next day we finally go to begin some aesthetically pleasing work by installing 1/4 inch cedar tongue and groove boards as well as the fantastic fan trim. This really made the van transform into a mini cabin on wheels. I am so pleased with how this came out. It was a fun video to edit as well as a fun building process.
