In this video we teach you to install a Nest Doorbell ( Battery ) so that you can use your existing chime and wiring. When the Nest Doorbell is wired to your chime when you press the doorbell button on the nest doorbell your indoor doorbell chime will ring just like a typical doorbell. You can also mute the doorbell chime through the Google Home app controls.

Another advantage of hardwiring your Nest Doorbell is that it will keep your Nest Doorbell fully charged and it will never need to be removed for charging. The Nest Doorbell does not require wiring as it can run on battery power for 16 months, however if you do hardwire the unit it will not require any charging. Another advantage of the dual power function is that even if the power goes out the Nest Doorbell can run on battery backup until power is restored.

The Nest Doorbell is a HD video doorbell with a motion sensor and day and night vision built in so you can view live or recorded footage from your phone or computer. It will can also notify you when motion is detected or the doorbell is pressed.
