Hi guys, back again with another 'How to...' video and this time it's 'How To Install a GoPro Surfboard Mount'. I'm going to be showing you two methods; the 'Recommended by GoPro method' and the 'Universal method'. If you can't do the first, you'll be able to do the second.

You Will Need:

1 x GoPro surfboard mount kit, which should include...
GoPro Surfboard mount
Adhesive anchor
Camera tether
Locking plug
1 x Your GoPro / GoPro case
1 x Standard GoPro mount
2 x Cotton pads / tissue
1 x Standard GoPro thumbscrew
1 x Warm soapy water / white spirit / methylated spirit

Steps To Follow:

1:10 Step #1 Remove any residue
1:27 Step #2 Wipe until dry
1:40 Step #3 Attach GoPro surfboard mount
2:26 Step #4 Attach adhesive anchor
3:12 Step #5 Wait the recommended 24 hours
3:16 Step #6 Attach camera tether
3:38 Step #7 Slot in standard GoPro mount
3:50 Step #8 Push in locking plug
4:06 Step #9 Thumbscrew through loop
4:32 Step #10 Tethering your GoPro (Recommended method)
5:49 Step #11 Tethering your GoPro (Universal method)

Two quick tips...

1. Definitely think about buying yourself a GoPro floaty / floaty backdoor. This is especially important if you're installing your GoPro surfboard mount on a foam surfboard. The floaty is the best and cheapest way to keep your GoPro safe if it falls of your surfboard (I've left some links above where you can buy them).

2. Actually wait the 24 hours that GoPro recommend. This will give the surfboard mount the time it needs to bond properly with your surfboard.
