I am going to walk you through every aspect of installing and wiring a 5000 watt 240 volt Garage heater.

You are going to need at least a 50 Amp service to your Garage to use this heater. My heater required a 30 Amp breaker and #8 wire.

The price point on this type of heater is very appealing, however keep in mind they do cost more to run than a natural gas heater. Most 5000 watt heaters will use about .65 cents for every hour of run time.

Because of the additional cost to run you will want to have a well insulated Garage so run time is reduced as much as possible.
