I’d like to share with you HOW TO SET UP and USE Japan’s SUICA CARD on iPhone WITH and WITHOUT a CARD NUMBER. Using some sort of Transportation IC card is kinda standard in Japan, especially in cities like Tokyo, Osaka… since it helps us save time and money at the same time. If you have a smartphone, consider set up and use the Suica card on your phone. I’ll show you 2 ways, STEP BY STEP how to GET and USE the Suica card on your phone in this video. The first way is via APPLE PAY (APPLE WALLET). And the second way is via SUICA FINANCE App.

Recently, according to JR, due to the chip shortage, they’ve stopped selling some of the cards like Suica, Pasmo (unless you stay in Japan and buy the monthly commuter pass, you still can buy it).
If you travel to Japan and prefer a physical card, you can consider the Welcome Suica card or the Pasmo Passport card, which are the cards created for visitors to Japan. But please be noted that these cards are nonrefundable and only valid for 28 days.
