Just because you submit a Notice of Nonpayment to the bonding company, does not mean you will get paid.  That is only the first of several steps you need to follow.  Most sureties will send you a “proof of claim” form to fill out so they can “investigate” your claim.  Are you required to fill it out?  What if you don’t?
