Owning an RV means learning how to FIX an RV. Good thing Victoria loves problem solving and her tools, because we’ve got a video this week on how to fix a broken RV slide on your own!

PROBLEM: This unfortunately, is our biggest RV repair yet. After hearing some strange noises as we started extending our living room slide out, we heard a LOUD pop. Didn’t take long to figure out one of the RV slideout cables had completely snapped. To make matters worse the frayed cable had also gotten jammed in the gear system.

REPAIR: To have an RV repair company come out to assess the problem would have cost $300. That is before the repair cost. So Victoria has stepbystep instructions on how to replace an RV slideout cable on your own. Including where to find replacement cable, what tools you'll need and how to go about replacing the cable. The best part is we saved ourselves hundreds of dollars by doing it ourselves!
