If you have a Kitchenaid, Whirlpool, Maytag, Estate, Roper or Kenmore Refrigerator/Freezer and the Icemaker is not working, this is something you should try first. It is worth a try because it could save you a lot of money. Having an icemaker replaced by a service technician or even if you do it yourself can cost quite a bit. This is not for the older icemaker design which have the metal arm (bail arm switch) but for the other design which is newer and uses a beam of light.
