The first step is to draw a horizontal line across your page, next draw a across on the right of your horizontal line, this will be the vanishing point for this 1point perspective drawing. All parallel lines going towards the vanishing point will look like they meet at the vanishing point, if you extended the lines all the way to the horizon.
