Richard helps a California homeowner get roombyroom control of her forcedair heating and cooling system by installing a new type of "zoning" controller. The system works by inflating "dampers" that are installed in the registers of each room in the house. These dampers are thermostatically controlled to inflate or deflate and block air flow in each register, depending on what temperature each individual room's thermostat is set at.
