How hard is it to put a Newport NT300 electric outboard motor on your jon boat? In this video I go through the basic steps for hooking everything up to use the Newport NT300 3hp electric outboard motor from Newport Vessels on a small boat or dinghy. I also cover some of the basic features of the 3 hp equivalent Newport NT300 and the benefits of using the Newport Battery Quick Connect cable extender.

Setting up a small electric outboard motor on your dinghy, little boat or jon boat isn't hard and if you use a LiFePo4 battery, the weight is very reasonable. Please refer to the owners and/or operators manual and instructions before connecting or or using any of the items shown in this video.
