This video explains how to wash out and fully clean the filter of a Dyson Outsize, Dyson V11, Dyson V12, or Dyson V15 vacuum. You should be doing this operation every 12 months in order to maintain proper suction in your Dyson and to get the best possible performance. If your Dyson vacuum feels underpowered, it seems clogged or the filter is dirty, you'll want to do this immediately!

Seriously: Make sure the filter is totally dry before putting it back on the vacuum! If you don't do this you can break your vacuum!
