How To Chose LED Bulbs | Kelvin Lumens u0026 Watts EXPLAINED!

Follow
Christmas on Crestline

LED bulbs measure brightness much differently than incandescent bulbs do. Some still believe wattage equals brightness but in today's world, lumens are what is used to measure light output. While wattage is still useful to know for energy cost, it no longer is an accurate gauge for brightness.

Because LED lamps are up to 85% more energy efficient than traditional filament bulbs, the correlation between "more watts = brighter lightbulb" no longer applies. We use lumens to measure the brightness of LED lighting products like lamps, so "more lumens = brighter LED lamp". Our educational video explains the new way of measuring the brightness
