Section 1 More Twitch Techniques

#1 For those without vibrating controllers, you can close your eyes and use sound to fish. The real bite of the fish is easy to differentiate from the fake bites.

#2 Let your thumb droop over the x button so if you twitch, you don't reel in by accident. When the fish bites, you can consciously move the button as thumb twitches don't screw you over.

#3 Spam the x button to alleviate your desires to twitch. Once the fish bites, consciously press A. This method might tired out your thumb.

Tip: Fishes can only bite your bait 5 times. It will ALWAYS bite on the 5th if it fakes 4 times.

Section 2 Advanced Shadow Analysis

Idle Position: When a fish is stationary and moves its tail in a set pattern. Size 13 are different sized versions of each other. Not only that, but the tail swerves slower as size increases.

Size 45 has a whippier animation on its tail. This makes the angle at the peak of its tail swerve more drastic compared to size 13.

Size 6 has a much smoother movement. It does not have the angle present in size 4 and 5. It also has the slowest tail swerve.

Section 3 Casting Optimization

Instead of trying to make microadjustments to the angle. Walk backward and hold the control stick in the direction of the fish. Slowly walk towards it then cast your rod.

Section 4 Shadow Refreshing

#1 Rod Pulling
Fish the shadow normally, the moment you get its attention, pull in your rod.

#2 Dumping
Keep a useless fish and release it when you need to scare multiple shadows that are not in reach.

Section 5 Force Spawning

Ninji's Datamine: https://wuffs.org/acnh/mysterytour.html

This can ONLY be done with Island #1 and 10.

Scare away all fish then go to the center of the bottom river. Pull out your camera app and position yourself so all the rivers except the river mouth is in your screen.

Scare off all remaining fish and wait for 45 seconds.

A sturgeon should spawn most of the time.

Keep in mind that this is impossible to accomplish in September in the Northern Hemisphere, and in March in the Southern Hemisphere! This is because salmon and king salmon will compete for the river mouth's spawning pools with the Sturgeon!
