I cut my large scrunchies 7” wide and can be 40” 46” long depending on the fabric.
I like the scrunchie to look full even when wrapped around a twice.
The ¼” elastic is cut at 10” long so can easily be tied like a balloon.

Adjust fabric and elastic length to your liking. Have fun sewing!!
