Today we are gonna build a Savonius eolian turbine,
it's a type of a verticalaxis wind turbine, used for converting the force of the wind into torque on a rotating shaft.

It is one of the simplest turbines we can build using items that can be easily found.

Now will make a quick run down of the things we need for this build.

1. A barrel as blades
2. Shaft with bearings as you can see we already cut it in half and make it longer
3. Car wheel as the pulley
4. Hollow rectangular bar for the frame
5. Various nuts bolts and plates to put all the things togheter
6. Optional you will need a car hub
the main advantage is that we can use it to lock the turbine in case of storms.
