Due to the fact that the my Car Rooftop Cargo Carriers I had, broke after a few seasons, I decided to make one made integral of fiberglass, with the guarantee that it will last a lifetime. Fiberglass is a lightweight material but with very high mechanical properties, being used mainly in the aeronautical industry. Which led me to choose this material.
