There is a way of scientifically figuring out fan requirements:
https://www.orchideenvermehrung.at/en...

The Filter:
K&N 20x24x1 HVAC Furnace Air Filter, Merv 11, HVC12024

The Prefilter:
https://www.bunnings.com.au/powerfit...

For a filter the size I used (plus prefilter) 710 CFM did the trick

The Fan: DUCTURBO 8 Inch Inline Duct Fans, 710 CFM With Variable Speed Controller (Aus):
https://amzn.to/3JtJC7F

Similar output fans (US)
I have no experience with these... But they have same CFM output:

Slightly lower output fans (US)
I have no experience with these... But they have just below the CFM output:

1200x1200 Ply Basic Box Cut Sizes:

3 sheets 600x600
1 sheet 600x581 (19mm Ply, or subtract the thickness of ply from the height)

160mm (160 for slanted due to fan width) or 200mm (200 for vertical filter install) x 600 for the back space.

And then depending on your filter size and angle of filter you'll need another spacing piece.

200mm Hole in top for fan will require jigsaw.
