We needed a new outlet under the sink for the new Reverse Osmosis System that we are installing. This system if very high tech with the ability to control and monitor your water quality, so it actually requires an outlet to be plugged into. So we couldn't use the one that the garbage disposal was on because it is only controlled by a switch, we needed a constant power source. So I tapped into the outlet above and ran a new line down under the sink.
