In today’s video I’m going to show you how to actually repair drywall tape joints on a ceiling with fiberglass mesh tape and repair ceiling cracks on seams. These tape joints are cracking and failing due to moisture from the evaporation of the pool water getting sucked in the exterior soffits on this exterior patio ceiling. First I’ll remove all of the tape joints. Next I scrape back all the loose joint compound left behind. Then, I’ll prime the areas with a can of Kilz primer and apply the fiberglass mesh tape once that’s dry. I’ll also show you how to mix the 20 minute setting type compound with my cordless drill and paint mixer. Thanks so much for watching! Paul
