Growing up with the name Alec Newman, I always heard one of two things. “Haven’t heard that name before” or “Alex”. So it was a little distressing when I googled myself and discovered I shared my name with a Scottish actor who had just enough credits to dominate every search engine. And every time his name showed up in the opening credits… reminded of more successful Alec Newman.
