Elizabeth completed her undergraduate and graduate education in Nursing at the University of Florida. She also has advance training in PlantBased nutrition, completing her doctoral internship in nutrition and lifestyle medicine at the True North Health Center in Santa Rosa, CA.

Notes:

Best dietary practices for mental health: foods with fiber (plant foods), hydration, consumption of complex carbohydrates: whole grains, potatoes, oatmeal, rice, bananas. Food sources of Omega 3 such as flax and chia (and reduce Omega 6: processed foods, oils, fried foods)

Which foods are bad for mental health: instead of labeling foods as "bad" think about healthy TRADES:
o Trade for dairy and go with a nut milk for 7 days
o Trade from granola bar with sugar for a Larabar and less ingredients
o Caffeine – high school and college age students – high amounts of caffeine and sleep
