Does this qualify as oversharing? I hope not, mostly because I wish someone would have overshared with me before I was a PT.

Money can be awkward to talk about! Many people in all sorts of different professions simply aren't comfortable talking about how much money they make because it feels taboo.

Here's the problem though: if nobody talks about how much money they make, how are the future professionals of tomorrow supposed to make informed career decisions?

When I was becoming a PT, I didn't really have any idea of how much money Phyisotherapists earned. I just knew it was in healthcare and was considered a "good" job, so I assumed it would be alright (you know what happens when we assume, right).

My hope is that this video can be the voice for you that I never had, honestly sharing how much money someone specifically makes as a Physiotherapist, and giving you an idea of what you can expect in different areas of the profession.

Jonah is a Canadian Physiotherapist who works with a primarily outpatient orthopaedic population at a clinic in his home town of Sudbury, Ontario. He completed his Master's of Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto, with his Bachelors of Sciences specialized in Human Kinetics coming from The University of Ottawa. He is also considered by his parents, fiancee and dogs to be a pretty cool guy.
